Built for sports families

Your family doesn’t need you to remember more.

It needs a system that remembers for you.

Boardside gives sports families one place to plan the week, share the load, and stay ahead of practices, games, travel, meals, and everything happening around them.

Run the season. Keep your life.

01

See the week clearly

Bring sports, school, work, meals, travel, and family commitments into one organized plan.

02

Plan around the pressure points

Spot conflicts, tight transitions, late nights, transportation, meals, and preparation needs while there is still time to adjust.

03

Share the load

Make responsibilities visible so everyone knows what they own and what still needs attention.

04

Prepare for bigger weekends

Use repeatable planning for tournaments, travel, and the moments that ask more of the whole family.

From the ordinary week to the biggest weekend

Built for Tuesday practice.
Ready for tournament Saturday.

A family system has to work on an ordinary school night and during the weekends that require three bags, two venues, an early departure, and a backup dinner plan.

01

Weekly planning

Make the full week visible before daily decisions begin. See where sports, work, school, and family life compete for the same time.

02

Meals around movement

Plan food around departure times, practices, training, late returns, and travel—not an imaginary week with everyone home at six.

03

Tournament + travel preparation

Move packing, logistics, and family coordination forward so departure morning is for loading—not searching.

04

Shared family ownership

Clarify drivers, preparation, and responsibilities so the entire plan does not live with one parent.

For the families behind the athletes

For the parent running the season behind the scenes.

Boardside is for families who love sports—and know how much invisible work it takes to make that life possible.

It’s for the parent balancing work calls with practice times. The family moving in different directions on the same night. The household ready to share the load more clearly. And the young athlete learning that preparation is part of the game.

This is not generic productivity
dressed in team colors.

Boardside was built around the actual logistics of sports-family life — the practices, meals, travel, work conflicts, tournament weekends and invisible decisions that happen between what's written on the calendar.

Because the goal isn't to manage more. It's to make more room to enjoy the season you're already living.

Why Boardside exists

Built inside a real
sports-family life.

I’m Michelle McHale—a working mom raising a teen athlete.

I built Boardside while living the same week so many sports parents know: work calls, practices, training, school, meals, travel, tournaments, and a household that keeps moving whether the plan is ready or not.

What began as a way to stop carrying every detail in my own head became a system our family could actually share.

Boardside exists to give other sports families that same clarity—without asking them to care less, do less, or step away from the life they love.

Questions

Before you start.

What is the Boardside app?+

Boardside is a mobile-first web app for sports families. It brings your family calendar, leave times, shared responsibilities, meals, tournament preparation, and weekly planning into one working system. It runs in your phone’s browser and can be added to your home screen.

Is Boardside only for hockey families?+

No. Boardside was born from real hockey-family life, but its systems are designed for families managing any competitive youth sport—or several of them.

How much does the app cost?+

The app is $9 per month or $69 per year for the whole household. Both plans begin with a 7-day free trial. A card is required, and billing begins after the trial unless you cancel.

Can my family use Boardside together?+

Yes. One subscription covers the household, and you can invite a second adult into the same family so you are both working from the same week and shared family information.

What is Boardside First Edition?+

Boardside First Edition is the original 45-page field guide that introduced the routines, frameworks, and planning tools that became the foundation for the Boardside app.
